Give With Purpose This Holiday Season: Giving Guide 2026

As the leaves fall and the holidays draw near, we have so much to be grateful for at Braking Cycles! This fall has been a season of celebration, new beginnings, and meaningful milestones for the young people we serve.

From opening a new Braking Cycles Cafe to celebrating four residential graduates, we're reminded of the incredible things that happen when a community comes together to invest in the lives of at-risk youth.

As we enter the holiday season, we're also inviting you to join us in creating more opportunities for young people to discover their God-given worth and step into a hope-filled future.

A New Braking Cycles Cafe Opens at Rolling Hills Church

On October 25, 2026, we celebrated the opening of a new Braking Cycles Cafe at Rolling Hills Community Church in Tualatin, Oregon!

This new location features an on-site community cafe and shop operated in partnership with Braking Cycles. More than just a place to grab a cup of coffee, it provides at-risk youth with hands-on job training, apprenticeship opportunities, and a supportive environment where they can build confidence and develop valuable life skills.

Every cup poured helps create opportunities for young people to gain experience, build meaningful connections, and discover a community that believes in their potential.

We invite you to stop by and experience the new cafe during one of Rolling Hills Church's Sunday services!

Giving Guide 2026

While the holidays are often filled with joy and celebration, they can also be an especially difficult time for young people experiencing instability, homelessness, or separation from family.

At Braking Cycles, we believe every young person deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported. That's why we're inviting our community to give intentionally and prayerfully this holiday season through our 2026 Giving Guide.

Your generosity directly supports life-giving programs that help at-risk youth across the Pacific Northwest build brighter, more stable futures.

Three Meaningful Ways to Give

$1,000 Apprentice Scholarship

A gift of $1,000 provides 12 weeks of vocational training for an apprentice at the Braking Cycles Coffee & Bike Shop.

Through hands-on experience, young people gain practical job skills, build confidence, and take meaningful steps toward independence.

Infant Care at Vida's Ark

A monthly gift of $100 helps provide essential care for young mothers and infants at Vida's Ark, supporting them during a critical season of life.

Faithful Friends Mentorship

A monthly gift of $50 provides meaningful resources and shared experiences for mentors and mentees in our Faithful Friends mentorship program, helping nurture relationships that encourage connection, growth, and belonging.

Thank You, Golfathon Participants!

Thank you to everyone who joined us on October 18th, 2026, at Topgolf in Hillsboro, Oregon, for the Harvest on the Green Golfathon. Your presence made the afternoon so special!

The event included a graduation ceremony for four of our residents (two young men and two young women). They celebrated completing WheelHouse, our one-year program where they built over 16 life skills in areas like education, vocational training, housing, and personal and spiritual health.

We were also treated to a live performance by Bart Hafeman of Hit Machine. Thank you for helping us celebrate these young people and contributing towards many more hope-filled futures!
