Every mile the Smith Family pedals has a story behind it. Meet Lauren Hutchinson, the Faithful Friends mentor whose friendship with a young girl named Laysha helped inspire the Penny Per Mile Challenge.

On June 22nd, Craig, Melinda, and their three kids set off on 3,640 miles of open road along the TransAmerican Trail — in partnership with Braking Cycles and on behalf of at-risk youth across the Pacific Northwest. And they're asking their community to take the Penny Per Mile Challenge alongside them.

In November, we’re celebrating transformation and generosity! Emma’s journey through Harmony House reminds us of the power of faith and community, while Catalyst Financial NW raised $50,000 to support youth programs across the Northwest. As we gear up for our Golf-A-Thon, every pledge—big or small—helps us reach our $50,000 goal and bring hope to at-risk youth.

At 18, Emma’s life was filled with chaos and uncertainty—until she found hope through Transitional Youth’s Harmony House and Echo Ranch. Surrounded by faith-filled mentors and community, she rebuilt her life and graduated the one-year program in August 2025. Today, Emma is thriving and grateful for how God used this season to restore her relationships and future.

This season the harvest was plentiful… and the workers were too! The past few months we have had the JOY of hosting several groups of industrious volunteers.
