Finding Sanctuary: Inside Our Girls Housing Program

This month, we are shining a light on the heart of our Girls Housing Program and the young women we have the privilege of walking alongside every day. Our Girls Program Director, April, recently shared a full overview of this ministry — and her words capture beautifully what it means to offer sanctuary to young women who need it most.

Which brings me to something I want to make sure you don't miss: Sonrise, our 2026 Annual Banquet, is coming up on June 1st. This is our 35th anniversary — and it's going to be a night full of story, celebration, and vision for what's ahead. Will you join us?

We deeply believe that by taking a *literal* seat at the table, you play a critical part in the story God is continuing to write through this ministry. Because of your prayers, your support, and your willingness to show up, more young men and women will step into lives of hope and freedom.

With Gratitude,

RHONA MAHL

Executive Director of Braking Cycles

ATTENDEE TESTIMONIALS

Annual Banquet 2025

Every year, our banquet brings together a community of people whose lives are changed by what they see and hear. Here's what one of our community members shared about their experience at last year's event:

Dave Adams, Board Chair of Braking Cycles nonprofit serving at-risk youth in Portland Oregon

"Last year's banquet was one to remember. It was wonderful to see the turnout of youth invited and amazing to witness their excitement and cheers from the outpouring of support during the fundraising auction.

The night was filled with powerful testimony from our former graduates, residents, and donors. The impact from community presence was felt and a reflection of God's compassion and heart towards us."

ROCHELLE, GIRLS HOUSING ADVOCATE

Your support helps create opportunity — for the next young woman to find a haven to begin again, or for a young man to find a safe space to grow in independence. Through secure housing, mentorship, and vocational development, lives are being rebuilt every day, and your yes plays a role in that ongoing work.

Seats are filling up fast - we would love for you to save yours today!
